Mound Visits, 10/12/16

The upcoming presidential election is causing division, tension and even anger among many in our nation. The media is using this angst to boost ratings and improve profits. None of this surprises God. In Daniel 5:21 we are reminded of this truth: “…the Most High God is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and sets over them anyone he wishes.”

We should also be reminded that we have an opportunity to play a significant role in the future of our nation. Here’s how…we pray. “The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16). We are not righteous,  but as believers God has clothed us with the righteous of Christ. So, let’s not get into the negative fray, but instead let’s pray.
