Several days ago I attempted to post something positive and uplifting on Twitter. There was so much negativity about political candidates I just wanted people to see something encouraging about a different topic. One person reacted in a very cynical, condescending way. My competitive nature and my pride wanted to respond and set this gentleman straight. After all, we didn’t even know each other. Then I realized, some comments don’t deserve an answer. This morning, I read this in proverbs:

“Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man and he will love you.”
(Proverbs 9:8)

Cynics and sarcastic people are best avoided. Don’t fall into their pit of negativity.
