Mound Visits, 11/23/18

While establishing himself as perhaps the world’s greatest missionary, Paul was beaten, in-prisoned and kicked out of towns…multiple times. He also was inflicted with a permanent physical ailment that he called his “thorn in the flesh.” In spite of this, he continued to establish churches, teach in Greek temples, Jewish synagogues and on the street. He was an educated man and a prolific writer. Why did he press on?

He had a goal.

“Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13-14)
