Mound Visits, 12/1/16
We don’t have to carry guilt. We confess. We repent (turn away from sin). Then, we trust Christ that He paid it all for us on the cross. Even though we many times live with the consequences of our mistakes, we can have peace and experience joy because we are forgiven by Christ. The enemy will rear his ugly head and attempt to pour the guilt back on us. But, don’t let him. He was defeated at the resurrection! God’s forgiveness, when we confess and repent, lasts forever and is forgotten. “As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us”(Psalm 103:12). And, He clothes us with His righteousness:
“God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of Christ”
(2 Corinthians 5:21).
The Great Exchange…we give Christ our sin, He gives us His righteousness.
No Jesus, no peace. Know Jesus, know peace.
