“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”
(Hebrews 11:1)
Very few people I have known were more sure and certain about their faith in Christ than Jerry Kindall. This former college baseball and basketball star, major league infielder and winner of three national championships as the baseball coach of the Arizona Wildcats, was strong, competitive and knowledgeable. He was also kind, gentle and placed others ahead of himself. He was a role model for many Christian coaches. Jerry Kindall loved Jesus and many times I could see a smile and see his eyes moisten with tears as he talked about his King and Friend, Jesus. Jerry went Home to celebrate Christmas with Jesus on Christmas Eve. We will miss him, but His Christ-like strength and love will be remembered to those of us who admired and loved him. I thank God for having known Jerry Kindall. Because of Jerry, I could be even more sure and certain about Jesus and all that is in store for those of us who have faith in Him.
