Mound Visits, 3/11/19

As I write to you, a former teammate is in the hospital receiving chemotherapy. Another friend is grieving the loss of a son who took his own life. Yesterday, there was a drive by shooting very near to my youngest son’s house. This world can be a very, very painful place in which to live.

We are not without hope! God is bigger than our problems. In Psalms 46:1-3 we are assured of this:

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give away and the mountains fall into the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”
