As a former coach I always enjoy talking about my former players. I talk about how “this one” is a doctor, “that one” is a pastor, teacher, coach or a successful businessman. To be honest, I don’t like to talk about those who are struggling and perhaps even in despair. We all have struggles, battle illnesses, temptation and the seduction of the lie that “the grass is greener on the other side.” Unless we look toward the Light each day, we have a much better chance of stumbling in the darkness.

“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
