Mound Visits, 5/11/17

Have you noticed that during interviews in sports, and especially political talk shows, it seems to be acceptable and almost encouraged that people interrupt and “talk over” one another’s comments? Quite frankly, this irritates me and I switch stations or turn off the TV or radio. I found this jewel in Proverbs 18:13: “He who answers before listening–that is his folly and shame.”
And the next one my father used on me a few times when I would talk about something I knew little about: “Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue.” (Proverbs 17:28)
