“It doesn’t take a very big person to carry a grudge.” That’s a clever and interesting quote…until someone deceives us or hurts us very deeply. But, forgiveness is interwoven into the fabric of our faith. The One we follow, Jesus, is ‘all about’ forgiveness. There is a freedom that comes when we forgive…even when the one who deceived or hurt us doesn’t acknowledge or understand. When we don’t forgive others, a hardness develops and grows in our hearts. When we forgive, there is a healing and a softening of the hard heart…and freedom. “Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have with one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” (Colossians 3:14)
