Mound Visits, 6/27/16
God has used 2 Corinthians 5:21 to encourage me in faith and to help me be thankful for God’s great Gift to us. “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” This is an overwhelming message! Christ took our sins (past, present and future) on the cross with Him. Can you imagine the guilt and shame He felt? He was carrying the sin f the world. Not only did he bear our sins, he gave us His righteousness! So, when we bow before Him in prayer, God doesn’t see me as a sinner (although that’s what I deserve). He sees me as His righteous child! Wow! This verse is known as the “great exchange.” Jesus took our sin and gave us His righteousness. I’m thankful!
