Paul instructed the church at Corinth to “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1). Paul was obviously very confident of his character. Many leaders have the “do as I say, not as I do” mentality. That leadership style is hollow, at best.
Speaking of athletes, Rod Olson has said, “Eighty-nine percent of culture is driven by what they see their leaders do, while only eleven per cent is driven by what a leader says.”
Our walk is far more important than our talk.
