Mound Visits, 7/19/17

Peer pressure keeps many of us from truly following Christ. We may believe in Him, but do we confess our faith and take a stand? This was a problem during Jesus’ time on earth, as well. Listen to what John said:

“…many even among the leaders believed in Him. But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved praise from men more than praise from God.”
(John 12:42-43)

We spend a lot of time trying to impress people who may not even like us instead of honoring Christ, the one who gave His life for us and loves us beyond compare.
