Why does God want us to be obedient? The 10 Commandments…why should we submit to the “rules?” The answer is simple…so that it will go well with us, and our families. Moses shares what God told him in Deuteronomy 5:29: “Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!” Sin gives short-term pleasure. Obedience to God gives long term joy and peace for us and for our families.
