Mound Visits, 8/31/17

When we go through dark and difficult trials, it’s easy to feel abandoned by God. But, we must trust His promise that He’s always with us and will never forsake us (Joshua 1:5).

Corrie ten Boom and her family were prisoners of war during World War ll. She once said this: “When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don’t throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.”

It’s in my DNA to want to fix problems and to find immediate solutions. Many times, God wants me to learn to trust more, to wait and be patient so that my faith in Him will grow.

“Be still and know that I am God…” (Psalm 46:10)

(Pray for those in Texas who have lost loved ones, lost their homes and possessions. Many of you know my good friend, Mark Johnson. His youngest son, Brian, and his family were evacuated a few days ago. They have lost their home, both automobiles and their possessions. Their faith is strong. Please pray for the Johnson’s and many, many others whose lives have changed dramatically. Thank you!)
