Recently, there was a positive story that spread like wildfire on social media. It was about small white boy who wanted to have his hair cut very short so that his teacher could not tell him apart from his best friend, a little African-American boy. There was a video attached to this story showing the two little boys, arms around each other’s shoulders with huge smiles on their faces…you’ve probably seen it. It reminds me of the following passage in Matthew (18:2-4), “…the disciples came to Jesus and asked, ‘Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?’ He called a little child and had him stand among them. And He said: ‘I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.'”
