If we follow the path of least resistance, we will become more like our evolving world. It will be easy to say, “what I do is wrong, but I’m not as bad as ‘that’ person.” Or, “why not, everyone else does it.” But, we do not have to live our lives giving in to what the ‘world’ considers ‘normal.’ Paul explains it in Romans 12:2, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
We can do this by asking God to intervene, read His Word, surrender to Him and ask Him to help us rid ourselves of negative “stinking thinking.” God loves us even though our lives may be messy. He wants to love us out of the mess we make.
“I do not understand the mystery of grace–only that it meets us where we are but does not leave us where it found us.” (Anne Lamont)
