God doesn’t require us to “get it all together” before we come to Him. He wants us to come to Him so that He can help us “get it together.”
If you want to turn from sin, God says, “Come now, let us reason together. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow…” (Isaiah 1:18)
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
If you are sad or broken-hearted, you don’t have to wait until you feel better. No, come as you are: “The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)
If you are exhausted from the grind, God doesn’t say, “get some rest, then come to me.” No, Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest….” (Matthew 11:28)
No matter what you are going through, come just as you are to the One who loves you unconditionally.
