God’s love for us is not based on our performance. We want to grow in order to be more like Jesus (strong and compassionate). But, when we stumble, He still holds our hand to guide us and to get us on the right path.
“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.”
(Psalms 37:23-24)
