Joni Eareckson Tada was an athletic, active young woman prior to a diving accident at 19 that left her paralyzed from the neck down. After suffering from paraplegia and depression for over two years, she learned how to paint and write holding a paintbrush and pen in her mouth. She has now authored over 40 books and has become an international champion in helping hundreds of thousands find faith and purpose while suffering disabilities.
“Faith isn’t the ability to believe long and far into the misty future. It’s simply taking God at His Word and taking the next step.”
― Joni Eareckson Tada
