God desires to walk with us during both victories and during difficult times. He wants to live within us and He wants us live in Him. I offer the following Word from God, followed by a prayer.
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
(Colossians 2:6-7)
I am thankful, Jesus, that you want to walk with us and help us during the difficult days of life. I am thankful that even when we are weak, then you are strong. I am thankful that you defeated death on the cross; and on that cross you took my sin, past, present and future. You offered to cover me with your righteousness so that I can have a relationship with a Holy Father. Help each one of us to turn our hearts and our faces toward you, the author of our faith. May our federal, state and local leaders a desire to humble themselves before You and seek wisdom from You. May You give great energy, strength, and insight to the health care professionals around the world. Even though we are apart from family and friends, we don’t have to be isolated from You. You are with us and we can be as near as we want to be. It is a mystery, but You desire to have us near You. For that, too, I am thankful. The world offers panic, fear and temporary distractions. You offer peace. May we choose peace. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
