Mound Visits, 4/16/20

Be patient with me as I indulge in a bit of state pride this morning. I’m watching the sun rise over a ridge of green with white plank fences lining a pasture. After all, Daniel Boone said, “Heaven must be a Kentucky kind of place.”

But, like all states, Kentucky isn’t perfect. We have poverty, neglect, partisan politics and ugly viruses. Sometimes the beautiful sunrises are hidden by storm clouds. Fortunately, we serve One who can bring calm during the storms of life.

“He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭4:39‬ ‭
(Read Mark 4:35-41 for the full account of the miracle of Jesus calming the storm)
