My dad was in the hospital. It would be his last stay there. He had a disease called Lewy Body dementia. He also had rheumatoid arthritis, pneumonia and congestive heart failure. It may have been the last time I was alone with him. The dementia didn’t speak this time, my dad spoke. I held his arthritic hand as he said, “Son, don’t worry about me. I’m going to be alright.”
My father made the transition from earth to heaven in the summer of ‘03. And, I believe he is alright.
“Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.”
