Developing “an attitude of gratitude” does not entail a denial of reality with all of the problems associated with the here and now. Instead, a thankful heart gives clarity of thought and positive direction. Thankfulness helps provide light in darkness.

We can’t deny the darkness, but we can be thankful for the light!

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46:1‬ ‭

“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.””
‭‭John‬ ‭8:12‬ ‭
