Mound Visits- Need Help

NEED HELP!

During the August floods in eastern Kentucky, many lives were lost, homes washed away, and thousands lost every earthly possession.

We can’t do all things for all people, but there is a group of people we can help…baseball players and coaches. I’ve talked to some high school and youth league coaches who lost everything…uniforms, equipment, pitching machines and even their fences, cages and the entire playing field.

Here’s how we can help:
1. Donate new or slightly used equipment (catching gear, gloves, uniform pants, shoes, bats, baseballs, etc)
2. Donate time…A former centerfielder for UK (Marcus Carson) is teaming up with me to host a 1/2 day camp in London, KY with all proceeds going to baseball programs in the flooded area. If you are a coach, you can help us at the camp on October 1 at 9:00am. Text me if you are interested and I will provide more info.
3. Donate money. Money will go directly to the programs in need to help coaches rebuild fields and replace equipment. Please make checks out to “SCORE International” and note for “flood victims in KY.” SCORE is a 401-C3, so your donation will be tax deductible. You can send the checks to:

If you have new or slightly used baseball equipment to send, please send to:

Melissa Stamper
602 Main Street
Suite 102
Hazard, KY 41701

Please help me to help these coaches and players get back on the field this coming spring. It will help these devastated communities get closer to “normal.” This is one of the poorest regions in America and it would an answer to prayer to encourage them and make it easier for them to rebuild.

If you have any questions you may tex or call me directly.

Thanks!
Keith Madison
