It’s easy to lose perspective on what matters most. We see this in Jesus’ parable of the Good Samaritan. The priest and the Temple assistant who were so focused on their OWN agenda they didn’t have time to do what was best and what was right. If we are too caught up in our OWN plan instead of what God places right in front of us, we may very well miss a “divine appointment.”
“Then a despised Samaritan came along, and when he saw the man, he felt compassion for him.”
(Luke 10:33 NLT)
“The first question which the priest and the Levite asked was: ‘If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?’ But… the good Samaritan reversed the question: ‘If I do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him?’”-Martin Luther King, Jr.
