MOUND VISIT
On practically every team there are players who choose to sit on the bench or in the dugout. They have the ability to contribute, but they don’t have the desire to compete. They enjoy being on the team and wearing the uniform, but would are content to watch others earn the wins, suffer the losses and the bruises.
Many Christians enjoy sitting on the bench. “Let the others serve. I’ll just go to church. Let the others ‘get in the game.’ They are better at it than me.” None of us are ‘good enough,’ but Jesus extends His grace to us so that we can share it with others.
God has called us all to be ambassadors…to represent Him, His message and His character. Let’s all get in the game this week and be an ambassador.
“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”
(2 Corinthians 5:20)
