Sometimes, a difficult moment exposes our weaknesses…a bad call from an umpire, someone cutting in front of you in traffic, poor service at a restaurant. You get the point. There are times when we don’t act very “Christian.” But listen to this, we serve a God who forgives, extends grace when we don’t deserve it, and who is patient. He is the God of endurance.
“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had,”
(Romans 15:5)
God’s patience is infinite. Men, like small kettles, boil quickly with wrath at the least wrong. Not so God. If God were as wrathful, the world would have been a heap of ruins long ago.
