Jesus died so that we can live.
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
(Romans 5:8)
In Matthew 21:31, Jesus says this:“Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you.”
Why would He say this to the religious people? Perhaps because the tax collectors and prostitutes knew they needed a savior. The religious people believed they were righteous because of their own good works. They refused to believe they needed a savior.
Paul recognized this when he said in Romans 3:23, “all sin and fall short of the glory of God”
We all need a savior so that we can truly live.
