Longing.
Often I hear the question, “Will people who never read the Bible or have access to the Gospel be held accountable for not believing in a Jesus they haven’t heard of?”
The following verse (Ecclesiastes 3:11) gives us a glimpse into God’s compassion for all people. Everyone has a longing for a better life. Whether a person lives in a remote section of the world or in a small town in the Bible Belt, we know in our hearts there’s something better for us. There is more than ‘one way’ for people to find ‘The Way.’ God wants to offer His grace and compassion to us. The key is to have an open, welcoming heart.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”
(Ecclesiastes 3:11)
“What you are longing for is longing for you.” (Ralph Marston)
