Spiritual Blindness.
We think we know ourselves, but we don’t. We think we can resist temptation on our own, but we can’t. We all suffer from spiritual blindness. Left unchecked, we can get sucked in to the enemy’s trap. In this trap, we are no longer as effective as a child of God, parent, spouse, or employee as we should be. That’s why we need to read God’s Word daily. We need to stay humble in prayer. Look at what Paul David Tripp says about spiritual blindness:
“It’s only in the mirror of God’s Word that you see yourself accurately, and only in His grace that you find help for what you see.”
“For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.”
(Romans 6:14)
