Surrender:
Most of you know the story about Jesus borrowing Peter’s boat and teaching from it to the crowds on the shore who had gathered to hear Him. Peter and his fishing crew had fished all night and now were cleaning their large, heavy nets. After teaching, Jesus told them to go out deeper to try fishing again. Peter didn’t want to do it, but because Jesus told him to, he went out deeper and let the nets down again. This time, the nets were so full of fish they began to tear.
“When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!”
“Then Jesus said to Simon, ‘Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.’ So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.” (Luke 5:8, 10-11)
“Jesus didn’t have Peter’s heart until He had his boat.”

What are we clinging to today that keeps us from surrendering to Jesus?
