Grace:
In the story of the Lost Son (Prodigal Son), Jesus tells us that the lost son’s father ran to his son and celebrated his return. The boy’s father symbolizes our Heavenly Father. When we turn away from a selfish life and approach God the Father, He runs to us and celebrates!
“Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.” (Micah 7:18)
“The difference between mercy and grace? Mercy gave the prodigal son a second chance. Grace gave him a feast.” (Max Lucado)
