Many Leaders Believed, But…
Believing in Jesus is essential, but look at the two verses below closely:
“Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved human praise more than praise from God.” (John 12:42-43)
Have you ever feared what other people may think of you if you acknowledge publicly that Jesus is Lord? I have. My prayer for myself, and for you, is that we will be bold in our faith and that we will “live” out our faith.
Praise from God is the ultimate reward. Praise from man means nothing.
