Balance:
I’ve seen people get so laser focused on their professional goals that they lose everything else. Athletes and coaches are notorious for doing this.
My good friend Jerry Kindall once said, “There’s a subtle danger that a coach must avoid: fostering an attitude of complete concentration on baseball. It would be tragic to allow an athlete to become so narrow in his life’s that baseball was all he lived for.”
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” (Proverbs 4:23)
