Bob Russell tells the story of a little boy who once wrote a note to his grandmother which said,
“Dear Grandma,
I hope you live all your life.”
One of the things that used to frustrate me as a coach was to see players going through the motions instead of playing with passion. Jesus didn’t say that He wanted to give us a mundane life, an average life or even a good life. He said, in John 10:10 “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Another translation says “abundance” instead of “full.” We can’t always choose our circumstances, but we can choose our attitude. Let’s “live” every day, all of our lives.
