It’s a great privilege to be able to vote the first Tuesday in November. I encourage you to vote. But know that the men and women who win will make some mistakes. I hope and pray they lead well, but they will not be perfect. That’s why I place my trust in God. The Psalmist said it best:
“It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.” (Psalms 118:8-9)
Vote and then pray for whoever wins. Perhaps the candidates elected will serve well, but if you want to trust in someone with compassion, perfect character, power and great wisdom, trust in God.
