Many years ago, immediately after a win at the buzzer, a reporter asked NC State basketball coach Jim Valvano, “how did you pull out that win?” Coach Valvano said, “my job is to do everything I can to put my players in a position to win. All of the credit goes to the players who finished strong and executed.”
Every leader’s job is to put those they lead in a position to win, then encourage them to finish strong.
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,”
