MOUND VISIT
It has been said that great people talk about ideas, average people talk about themselves, and small people talk about others. Gossip is detrimental to everyone involved. It hurts the person being talked about, it diminishes the person who is talking about others, and it makes the listener uncomfortable (or at least it should). Remember, the one who gossips to you will eventually gossip about you.
“Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.” (James 1:26)
“Notice, we never pray for folks we gossip about, and we never gossip about the folk for whom we pray! For prayer is a great deterrent.”
