Baseball is a challenging game. It will humble even the great players. As you know, many times a hitter can hit a ball perfectly, but there is a glove at the end of the line drive. A pitcher can make a perfect pitch only to see the hitter check swing, make contact and hit a soft pop up over the first baseman’s head. Humility is always good, if we allow it to take us closer to Jesus.
“For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.””
(Luke 14:11)
Humility is not a lack of confidence. It’s the foundation of improvement and understanding.
“Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less.”
