“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.”
1 Corinthians 16:13-14
My takeaway:
- We need Christ to guard our hearts and minds. My mind often goes to places that are far away from Christ. I need His help and protection. Everything flows from our hearts. Our hearts need to be protected, as well.
- Take a stand
- Be courageous
- Be strong…Ask God to help you take a stand, to be courageous and to give you strength
- Do EVERYTHING in love (emphasis mine). Family time, work, competition, recreation, POLITICS, and worship. Everything means everything.
I don’t practice this nearly as well as I should. I want to, so I need to surrender and ask God to help me do everything in love.
