One of the poorest decisions I made as a coach was to avoid rest during our 56 game schedule. We played games on Sunday but I would seldom set aside another day for rest. For a driven, competitive person it takes discipline and Godly priorities to do what is best for our families, and our spiritual, mental and physical needs. Who are we that we will not follow Jesus’ lead?
