In a drawer in my dresser I have small stones from a creek, shells from a Florida vacation, and a few ancient Father’s Day cards. They aren’t worth anything to anyone else, but they are tremendously valuable to me. It’s good for us to remember that the goodwill behind the gift that is given determines its value.
The little things we do each day to honor God that few, if anyone, notices are precious to our Father.
“But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.”-
2 Corinthians 8:7
