Ouch!
These are difficult teachings for those of us who want to be in control. But Jesus wants us to let go. He wants us to surrender our little kingdoms for THE kingdom. We can’t do this on our own. We need to surrender to the Lord and ask Him to help us. His ways are better.
“Then He said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23)
