When I was a graduate assistant baseball coach at Mississippi State many years ago, I was sitting on the team bus when our top assistant coach came on the bus soon afterwards. As Mark Johnson took his seat in front of me, I remember thinking, “ I want to be a coach like him one day.” Mark was knowledgeable and carried himself with confidence. He had a good sense of humor and was very well respected. Most of all, he was a man of integrity. He was, and is, a true follower of Jesus. He made an enormous impact on me.
