Hope.
Paul David Tripp says, “If you hook the hope of your heart to the people around you, you will always be disappointed. No one is able to be your personal messiah.”
We should be thankful for the people God places in our lives, but we shouldn’t look to them to provide for us what only God can provide.
Our spouses, children, parents and friends can be a great blessing in our life, but just like us, they have human frailties.
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.””
(Acts 4:12)
