When I seek my identity horizontally I am always left wanting. Comparison has always been an enemy of individuals, but with social media it may be the biggest enemy of all.
When I seek my identity vertically, I understand that God knows my every weakness, my failures and on my worst day He loves me and calls me His child. He even encourages me to come to him on my worst day. If you want to know how you compare, look up. You are the Apple of His Eyes.
