Mound Visits, 10/1/26

One of my earliest memories when I was four years old, is a walk down a gravel road that connected us to our small community. The walk was with my dad. As I realized I was going in the opposite direction of our little house, I reached up and grabbed my dad’s big strong hand. I then felt secure, safe, a sense of awe at his size and strength, and also joy and love.

God the Father is waiting for us to simply reach for His strong hand.

“For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” (Isaiah 41:13)

“Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depth of our hearts.”
(Mother Teresa)
