The physical world is full of entertainment and pleasure, but it becomes a dry well. Nothing in the physical world can give us what our hearts long for. God alone is the only one who can give us hope when the things of the world disappoint. Why should we drink from an empty well when we can be given thirst-quenching water?
Jesus said, “but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
