Growing.
If we want to be men and women of character and wisdom, we need to grow in steady increments through the reading of God’s Word. We should pray as we read, asking God to show us how His Word applies to our own lives. He will reveal our character and our opportunities to grow. He will also reveal His great love for us.
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
