Mound Visits, 1/11/19
Your faith in Christ is obviously very important to you, but it’s extremely important to your family, friends and co-workers, as well.
My favorite story in the Bible is about the small group of men who carried their paralyzed friend to a crowded house to be healed by Jesus. They couldn’t get in so they lowered him through the roof on a mat and placed him “right in front of Jesus.” (Luke 5:19)
“When Jesus saw THEIR faith, He said, ‘Friend, your sins are forgiven.'”
(Luke 5:20, emphasis mine)
(You may remember, in this passage, that Jesus forgave the paralyzed man of his sins because of his friend’s faith. He healed him because of the Pharisees lack of faith, so that they, too, would believe….Luke 5:17-26.)
Your friends are important to Jesus. Your faith and actions are important to your friends and to Jesus.
